About Aquatics Camp

What is Aquatics Camp?

We are a camp for boys and girls ages 6-14. Owned and operated by the North Florida Council, Boy Scouts of America, the property is located at the St Johns River Base at Echockotee sitting on Doctors Inlet. We provide day camp during eight summer weeks highlighting one of our local treasures; the water.

Here at Aquatics Camp youth can experience the thrills of repelling 50’ and getting up on a wake board behind one of our Tigè Ski boats, plus so much more.

Aquatics Camp is fully accredited by the National Camping School and is managed by trained, certified staffers who care about your camper and our program. We pull resources from the Boy Scout of America’s merit badge program in many of our program areas.

Also, we have built relationships with local agencies and organizations to bring your campers the best experience possible, such as the American Red Cross and the St. Johns River Keeper.

Weather Policy

Outdoor/Aquatic activities are not permitted during certain types of weather. Boy Scout policy and all available resources are used to determine closing outside activities. Each area has a “rainy day” plan and preplanned procedures in place to handle severe weather.  We do not give refunds or prorate fees for missed classes due to lightning.
